Free automotive CAD, built with AI in mind
CarCad focuses exclusively on automotive builders. The core CAD experience is free; creators can price their marketplace drawings. AI-assisted CAD creation and direct-to-3D-printer prototyping are coming soon and are not available in this Cloud app. The current assistant helps with drawing discovery and Cloud guidance when configured. It cannot generate or edit CAD geometry, connect a printer or send print jobs. Paid selling requires payment integration and seller onboarding. Desktop installer availability is listed on the download page.

Search by part name, make, model or generation. Combine keywords such as BMW E46 splitter, then narrow by vehicle, STEP/STL format, price and maximum budget in AUD. Vehicle labels are creator-supplied; confirm dimensions and fitment with the creator. Test listings are not for sale.

Sign in and verify your email, then open Upload a model. Supply the vehicle make, model and generation, a title, description and supported STEP or STL file. Manage pricing and licence terms in your uploads. Uploaded files are private; the listing can be public. Native CarCad file sync is not yet available.

Paid checkout requires the marketplace Stripe integration and an eligible seller. Sellers use My account → Seller payments to complete Stripe-hosted payout onboarding; bank details are entered with Stripe. After confirmed payment, purchased files are available in My purchases. Demo listings cannot be purchased. The assistant cannot check payment status, issue refunds or edit bank details.

Open My account to update your contact information and profile photo. Security settings manage password changes and two-factor authentication. Email changes require verification. Verification and reset emails depend on the configured email provider; check spam and resend verification from the verification screen. Never put passwords, API keys or payment details into the assistant.

The download page lists Windows ARM64, Windows x64, macOS and Linux x64 from latest.json. Each available build shows version, date, size and a copyable SHA-256. A build marked Not available yet has no published installer link. The assistant cannot invent download links or promise a release date.

Verified users with the admin role have an Admin menu for users, roles, models, moderation and integrations. Admin Integrations configures Stripe, Mailgun and the assistant provider. The assistant cannot grant roles, verify an email, change settings or access private account records. If the Admin menu is missing, an existing administrator must check the account role and verification.
